This is a lovely afternoon away to celebrate Christmas with a friend or spouse! We enjoy a late lunch and tea at Miss   Molly’s Tea House in Medina – more like an early dinner! There will be time to enjoy either another cup of tea, shop in

 her gift shop and on the square if weather is permitting. Then we are off to view a new Christmas lights display in Chesterland, Oh – “Bethlehem Hills” on the grounds of the Berkshire Hills Golf Course. As best as I know, last year was the first year for this display. Nice to do something new! Sign up early for this ever popular destination.

            Let's break out of the house and do something fun this afternoon.  Join me for lunch at the really delightful Pier  W on the waterfront of Lake Erie.   This day trip could be a great  Valentine to yourself or "that someone special" in your life.  We will have a late morning departure so that adverse weather should not affect our ability to get to the coach for departure.  The cost is $65.00 per person and is a simple get-a-way with a leisurely lunch to enjoy those you are traveling with whether they are old friends or new acquaintances!  There will be a selection of 2 entrees for you to opt from that day.  Sign up ASAP - February isn't far off!

We will attend the 1pm matinee at Playhouse Square with a preshow buffet at The Jack Casino in downtown Cleveland.

At each church/synagogue we’ll be met by a congregation member or Clergy who will make a presentation on the buildings history, how it has served the community and its current standing, and highlights of what make this building special. So many have asked me to do a trip to Gervasi Vineyard and here it is! Tues, June 16 we will head to Gervasi for a great lunch and wine tasting and tour of the property but prior to that we will make a stop in Rittman, OH at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery for a guided tour of this beautiful, respectful memorial of the local men and women who were instrumental in preserving our right to freedom. And we all know the freedom isn’t free and many have given their lives in this pursuit. Following this we’ll continue to Canton and enjoy a great lunch with a tasting of Gervasi wines. This is Just a really easy, fun day away with a great lunch in the Gervasi Bistro, Main Floor Seating -  an amazing opportunity so  Reserve Early – this is sure to be popular!!

 Another great theater opportunity is coming our way at The Ohio Light Opera for a performance of the ever popular “Damn Yankees”! This Adler and Ross hit of 1955 is the story of middle-aged baseball fan, Joe Boy

who would give anything to see his favorite team, the hapless Senators, beat the NY Yankees and claim the pennant! Enter the Devil who appears, accepts Joe’s offer in eventual exchange for his soul – but providing an escape clause – transforms Joe into a first rate slugger. He joins the Senators and leads them to the amazing seasons final 2 games, needing only a single win against the Yankees. Enter the Devil with a trick up his sleeve to derail Joe!! This show features a wonderful musical score – “Heart”, “Shoeless Joe From Hannibal, MO” and “Whatever Lola Wants”. Sure to bring back a few memories. Lunch is included at TJ’s Restaurant prior to the 2pm matinee.

Join me for a day in Amish Country and a new play that sounds like a winner. It is a Beverly Lewis novel turned into a stage play telling the story of a young woman who prayed the day would never come. But when her past comes calling, Melissa James has no choice but to flee. Living on the run she finds sanctuary and friendship in Amish country. Part suspense, part comedy and part romance – a compelling story of love, the cost of freedom and solace found in an unusual place. We will have lunch at Dutch Valley Restaurant and enjoy a totally new menu that everyone will enjoy! This day away in the Sugarcreek area that will also include shopping time to bring home “the goodies” we all enjoy! Bring along a cold bag if you wish.

Wow! The end of the 2019-20 Broadway Series is finally here with its most popular show of the season – Disney’s “Frozen”! This fanciful musical tells the story of 2 sisters, Elsa and Anna, pulled apart by a mysterious secret. As one struggles to find her voice and harness her powers within, the other embarks on an epic journey to bring her family together once again. An unforgettable theatrical experience filled with great costuming and sets and music that is unforgettable – pure Broadway joy as love conquers all! Prior to this 7:30 pm performance, we will dine at “Nido’s” in Little Italy – that too is always unforgettable! 

  This must be reserved ASAP and paid for by Jan 2 – Disney requirement. Any tickets purchased after Jan 5 with be at a higher cost or possibly not available. This show will take CLE by storm!


Blossom Music Center

Join Carolyn’s Travels for a different experience at Blossom Music Center on Sunday, Aug 30th for the big screen version of “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” with the Cleveland Orchestra playing live for all of the music involved! This should be a really fun event under the stars at Blossom. We will have pavilion seating for everyones comfort. Dinner is also included at Friday’s in Stow prior to the performance at Blossom.

The Cleveland Air Show is a staple of September entertainment in our area and I have decided for the 1st time to give it a try for our group. Viewing from the deck of the Nautica Queen is the absolute best and least difficult way to do this. I’m excited to experience this great display of talent by our US Airforce Thunderbirds and much more. We will also enjoy a lunch buffet aboard the boat and of course “the glory of the jets above in the sky”!
